The Gîte

This old farmhouse has been in Rangère for more than 150 years. Surrounded by centuries-old forests, on a dead end road outside hearing or sight distance from the main road. For years, the simple farm was the safe shelter for poor farmers from the Morvan. With its thick walls, it sheltered the families and their animals from the cold winters and the warm summers. Now this authentic holiday home offers shelter from the hectic of modern life.

You enter the house in a spacious kitchen with large fireplace and attractive wood stove. In this fireplace you will still find the authentic stone bread oven. The kitchen has been recently renovated and is complete with stove and dishwasher. In the kitchen cabinets you will find a pleasant basis for culinary pleasure. If you want to outsource the preparation of the meals, you can order a three-course menu from us. We serve this menu in the garden or in your gîte.

Through the kitchen you enter the master bedroom. Here are a double and single beds. It is possible to add a second single bed or cot. Behind the bedroom you will find the new spacious bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink.

All rooms have central heating and the kitchen has a wood stove.

In front of the house is a private and colorful garden with a beautiful Linde. There are comfortable garden furniture with plenty of sun or cooling shade. A nice place to enjoy in peace. .
